Nairobi 31 March 2023 – The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) has launched the Young Talent Pipeline, a new initiative aimed at increasing the diversity of experiences and solutions to solve the triple planetary crisis of climate change, nature loss and pollution and waste.

Rising temperatures due to #ClimateChange have been driving mass die-offs of coral reefs in the Arabian Sea.

A large area of South Western Europe and Northern Africa experienced extremely high temperatures usually only seen in July and August, at the end of April 2023

The month was the joint fourth warmest April globally. Temperatures were above average over southwest Europe, with Spain and Portugal recording their highest ever April temperatures. Colder-than-average temperatures were experienced in a band stretching from the United Kingdom to southeast Europe.
